We organized a 2-night kayaking trip along the northern coast of the South Island in Abel Tasman National Park. We set out in a tandem kayak to explore for a couple of days. The sea was a beautiful turquoise color that reminded us of tropical waters (and warm enough for brief swims), quite a contrast from hiking the glacier only 2 days prior.
